We’re more than a business, we’re a “framily” (n.ˈf-Ram-lē A group of people, and the occasional dog, connected through similar passions). We wouldn’t be where we are today without our deeply dedicated team members.

Our story.
We come from humble beginnings and we’re proud of it.
In 2015 we launched Portsmouth Paddle. Co. with eight paddle boards out of our backyard in Rye, NH. We saw an opportunity to focus solely on paddle boarding and went all in, pouring our hearts into offering the best SUP boards and experiences to our beloved New Hampshire Seacoast community.
A year after launch we took our passion on the road. We set up shop in parking lots, selling our boards out of shipping containers, and at times, hand-delivering them along the coast.
Word caught on about our customer service and desirable boards - and we grew. In 2017 we traded our containers for a small storefront, then later a beautiful board shop in Portsmouth, NH.
We began as a small, mobile operation and have since become a trusted mainstay for both locals and tourists.
No matter how we continue to grow in the future, we’ll always remember where we came from and what we’re here to do: offer exceptional service to our customers and make paddle boarding an enjoyable, affordable and accessible experience for everyone.

FounderAfter three years as a partner in a local NH surf shop, Wes had a clear vision for opening his own shop focused exclusively on paddle boarding, and we’re so glad he did. He had an eye for exactly what needed to be done differently - better boards and more amenable water locations to teach people how to SUP. He partnered with VESL, piled 8 paddle boards into his truck and the rest is history.

Chief Everything OfficerOne half of the dynamic duo that brought Portsmouth Paddle Co. to life, Alexandra is a Portsmouth native with a worldly POV. Her passion for health and wellness has taken her from the NH Seacoast to India, Sweden and back. As a yoga teacher, barre instructor and SUP guide she’s made it her life’s mission to help give people the tools they need to enhance their wellbeing. Alexandra also founded SEAVĀSANĀ®, a yoga and fitness studio, where she leads SUP Yoga and Fitness Programs.
